Stop hoarding dead repos — a GitHub graveyard cleanup concept for retiring stale repositories before they become permanent noise.

Problem

Personal and org GitHub accounts accumulate forks, experiments, and abandoned prototypes. Deleting blindly is risky; keeping everything is worse. There is no lightweight ritual for reviewing what still matters and archiving or removing what does not.

Dumbo names that problem directly: repository stewardship as maintenance, not guilt-driven bulk deletion.

Intended workflow

  • Graveyard review mindset — classify repos by last activity, dependents, and ownership
  • Safe cleanup posture — audit before delete, not reactive purging
  • Developer-native framing aligned with GitHub’s repo-centric mental model
  • Companion to the fuller Dmbo app for local-first bulk maintenance with scoped tokens
  • Clear positioning: maintenance tooling, not entertainment UI
