Human-written code has soul the way literature has soul. The source is the poem: the profanity, the weird names, the comments nobody cleaned up, the stuff we have all done at least once.
The humans left fingerprints all over it! Years from now, we will uncover this like an ancient artifact, as proof that humans could make ingenious software without a slop machine trying to make every thought bland and soulless.
